 One of the founding members of Beausoleil, Doucet is probably the most popular cajun violinist alive. Beausoleil's albums appeal to folks well beyond the narrow boundries of cajun--the last time they played Bumbershoot here in Seattle, they pretty much filled the field in front of the stage. I like Beausoleil's stuff, but find it a bit repetitive after a while. I need to snag some of Doucet's solo work to see how that compares.
