Kindler picI found out about Steve through my tabla teacher, Tor Dietrichson. Steve produced Tor's first CD, and has made three of his own. His music is a strong mix of jazz, world, and new age influences, tied together with accomplished violin technique. Of his three solo albums (well, two and a half...the first was a duo between him and Teja Bell), I like "Across a Rainbow Sea" the best. It's a good introduction to his style, and is produced in such a way as to reward both passive and active listening.
