 One of the most famous American swing violinists, Venuti's style is more rooted in American jazz and blues than his French counterpart, Stephane Grappelli. I can't say as I've listened to a lot of his work, but Joe Venuti in Chicago, 1978 is certainly worth a listen.Here's a sample from "Joe Venuti in Chicago, 1978":
